Mayor's Casting Vote Rejects Rezoning Proposal
Mayor Jack Boyd has used his casting vote to defeat a move to rezone five environmentally sensitive areas near waterways in Sutherland Shire for higher-density housing.
The proposal aimed to rezone residential areas from C3 Environmental Management and C4 Environmental Living to R2 Low Density Residential. The affected areas are close to, but not immediately adjacent to, waterways.
