A pay dispute between DPD and its self-employed drivers has been resolved after talks between the company and driver representatives.
The dispute was over proposed reductions to pay rates for small parcel deliveries, which led to a group of franchised drivers stopping work on Tuesday.
However, an agreement was reached after one day of stoppages, and operations returned to normal on Wednesday.
Following a meeting with drivers’ representatives, an agreement on a way forward was reached, meaning drivers that chose not to work returned on Wednesday.
DPD has not commented on whether the agreement is a temporary measure ahead of planned rate changes in January.
