Fisher Elementary students celebrate Fire Prevention Day
ARLINGTON – Fisher Elementary School celebrated Fire Prevention Day with a special visit from the Arlington Fire Department and the Arlington Rescue Squad.
Students got an up-close look at the fire trucks and equipment, and even participated in a practice fire drill.
- An Arlington firefighter carried out Penelope Wilcox during the drill.
- An Arlington firefighter also carried out Sheldon Thompson.
- Members of the Arlington Fire Department, the Rescue Squad, and "rescued" students posed for a photo.
- Junior Arlington firefighters from Arlington Memorial High School were also in attendance.
Students, including Wright's kindergarten class and Fisher Elementary student Blakely Nahodil, enjoyed the event and even got to climb into the fire truck for photos.
