Beating Cancer: A Story of Hope

Durga Devi's life is a testament to the power of awareness, early diagnosis, and regular screenings in saving lives.

Diagnosed with breast cancer over two decades ago, Durga Devi was advised against treatment by many. Her husband, Badri Prasad Pudasaini, recalls:

People used to say those who get cancer don’t live long—why waste money and time?

However, they chose to trust the doctors and not the rumors. Now, at 65, Durga Devi is healthy and active.

Durga Devi first felt a lump in her left breast in 1996, at the age of 36. She tried local clinics, herbal remedies, and even visited faith healers, but the pain only worsened.

Her survival is an inspiration to other women in her community to seek timely diagnosis and treatment.
