Launch of Znexus Service
Ethio telecom has introduced its Znexus service, aiming to provide affordable access to smart devices for millions of Ethiopians.
The service is part of Ethiopia's Horizon Strategy, which seeks to create a digitally empowered society by 2027/2028.
Out of approximately 85.9 million Ethio telecom customers, only 47 million are currently utilizing the internet.
CEO Frehiwot Tamiru noted that the digital divide is largely due to affordability issues and a lack of digital skills, limiting access to essential services.
