Irish Whiskey Makers Target Mexico's Growth Potential
Representatives of the Irish Whiskey Association (IWA) visited Mexico to promote links between Ireland and the 15th-largest economy in the world.
The IWA sees Mexico as a market with
"incredible scope for growth", due to its population of 130 million, growing middle class, and strong spirits tradition.
Mexico's recognition as the presumptive Cocktail Capital of the World, with Mexico City's Handshake Speakeasy named the World's Best Bar in 2024, has further improved the outlook.
The IWA views Mexico as a
"bright opportunity"due to its natural affinity and friendship with Ireland.
