Former New Zealand Prime Minister Jim Bolger, who led the nation from 1990 to 1997, passed away on Wednesday at the age of 90.
Bolger championed reconciliation with the indigenous Maori people during his tenure.
His family confirmed that Bolger died peacefully surrounded by his wife Joan, nine children, and 18 grandchildren.
He had been undergoing dialysis due to kidney failure since last year.
