Letter to the Editor: Support for Vicksburg National Military Park
A local nonprofit, Friends of VNMP, is funding the park's daily operations during the government shutdown.
Right now, our small nonprofit — Friends of VNMP — is fully funding the park’s daily operations to ensure that it remains open, protected, and thriving.
This effort costs $2,000 daily, and the organization cannot sustain it without local business community support.
