Polaris Industries Sells Indian Motorcycle
Indian Motorcycle will be sold to California-based Carolwood LP, a private equity firm, according to a press release from Polaris Industries.
Polaris is confident in Indian Motorcycle’s future success under Carolwood ownership and will maintain a small equity position in the business after the transaction closes.
The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2026. About 900 employees will transition to the new company, including those at manufacturing facilities in Spirit Lake and Monticello, Minnesota, and a design and technology center in Switzerland.
Indian Motorcycle will retain the majority of its team, ensuring continuity and expertise under new ownership.
