Danilo Petrucci has been successfully operated on after sustaining a hand injury in a freak gym training accident.
Petrucci fractured the fourth metacarpal in his right hand while training with resistance bands, which came off and caused his hand to hit a metal wall.
He underwent surgery on Monday, which included the insertion of a plate and eight screws to stabilize the fracture.
Petrucci aims to return to action this weekend at Jerez, but will need to pass a pre-round medical check on Thursday.
