Warm winds are expected on Sunday, with a chance of showers Sunday night.
An approaching cold front will bring gusty southwest winds on Sunday, along with increasing clouds late in the day. Highs will reach the upper 70s Sunday afternoon, with winds gusting to 20-30 mph.
The front will move through eastern NC Sunday night, with some showers moving through after sunset and exiting before sunrise Monday.
Heading into next week, it will be dry and seasonable, with rain remaining scarce and breezy at times in the first half of the week. Winds will relax midweek, with highs in the 60s and 70s, and nighttime temperatures hovering in the 40s and 50s.
