As a transfer student, I had a unique journey and adaptation to the new environment, joining halfway through my undergraduate years.
I began my university journey at a community college in my hometown, where I spent two years earning my Associate of Science degree. I then transferred to Virginia Tech to complete my undergraduate studies.
Moving in during the same week as the first-year freshmen was an interesting experience. When I introduced myself, people often assumed I was a freshman too, offering advice on how to "do college," which I politely declined.
I already knew how to manage my time, handle 8 a.m. classes, and study effectively.
What I really needed was social advice.
