Meet the Chef: Glen Hunter of Treacy's in The Heath
Head Chef Glen Hunter has been working at Treacy's Bar & Restaurant in The Heath, one of Ireland's oldest bars and restaurants, since 2014.
Treacy's has been serving Laois locals since the early 1780s. Glen's passion for chefing started at an early age, influenced by his father, who was also a chef.
My father was a chef, he has retired since. That's how I got into it.
Glen began his chefing journey the day after finishing his Leaving Cert in 1993, when his father introduced him to the kitchen.
