Avalon Moving Ahead on Dredging of Bay Channels
Avalon expects to have the results of a survey of back bay navigation channels this year, a step towards dredging, according to Borough Business Administrator Scott Wahl.
Wahl noted that the last major dredging of the back bay was over a decade ago. He stated that the borough's budget includes funds for a survey of the channels, a necessary step for a dredging project.
"We will have the results of that survey soon, this year,"
he said, calling the organization of a dredging project a borough priority. Once the survey results are available, officials will work with past partners to define an appropriate dredging project.
