Solomon Named Big South Preseason Player of the Year

UNC Asheville's Toyaz Solomon has been named the Preseason Player of the Year by the Big South Conference.

Solomon was the only Bulldog to start all 32 games last season, averaging 15.7 points per game, and leading the team in field goal percentage (.610), rebounds (7.2 per game), and blocked shots (51).

Solomon delivered career-best outings, including 24 points against North Florida and 15 rebounds at Central Arkansas.

Toyaz Solomon proved to be a force on both ends of the floor last season.

The Bulldogs were picked second in the preseason standings.
