Weather Alerts in Mallorca
Parts of Mallorca have been placed on alert due to a weather trough bringing heavy rain and thunderstorms.
María José Guerrero, spokesperson for Spain's State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), warned that further alerts are likely over the coming days.
- The south of Mallorca is under a yellow alert until 6pm, with expected rainfall of up to 15 litres per square metre in one hour.
- Earlier warnings were issued for the north and northeast of the island.
