AAP FactCheck found that the clip was being falsely linked to Islam in social media posts.
- A Facebook video from an Australian user claimed the video showed "Sharia law".
- Another post stated: "Islam is a mental illness".
- Other posts claimed it depicted a child bride.
Origin of the Video
A reverse image search revealed that the clip is actually from a longer video filmed during a wedding reception in Italy.
The video was originally posted on TikTok on September 28, 2025, by a wedding guest.
